On September 25, Winthrop Realty Trust (the "Trust") announced that its Board of Trustees has approved a share repurchase plan pursuant to which the Trust will be permitted to repurchase up to 5,000,000 of its outstanding common shares. The foregoing description is qualified in its entirety by reference to the press release issued September 25, 2008, which is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
