(b) On September 16, 2008, Marchai B. Bruchey notified Kana Software, Inc. (the "Company") of her decision to retire from the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Company in November 2008. Until her departure, Ms. Bruchey will continue to serve as the Company's Chief Marketing Officer.
