On September 16, 2008, ChoicePoint Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that on September 15, 2008, it had received notice from the Federal Trade Commission of termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvement Act of 1976 with respect to the Company's previously announced proposed acquisition by Reed Elsevier Group plc. The termination is effective as of September 15, 2008. A copy of this press release is being filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference into this Item 7.01.
