(b) On September 8, 2008, MSCI Inc. ("the Company") announced that David H.
Sidwell, a Director of the Company, has resigned from the Company effective
immediately and therefore will no longer serve on the Board of Directors or as a
member of the Audit Committee or the Nominating and Corporate Governance
Committee. The resignation was not the result of a disagreement with the
Company.
