Item 8.01 Other Events.

On September 2, 2008, Adolor Corporation (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has returned to the Company worldwide rights related to Entereg ® (alvimopan) for chronic opioid bowel dysfunction (OBD). GSK is retaining rights to Entereg for postoperative ileus (POI), and the companies will continue to collaborate on the development and commercialization of Entereg for POI in the United States. GSK also returned to the Company rights related to Entereg for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and non-opioid induced forms of constipation or bowel dysfunction. There have been no active development programs for these indications.

The Company hereby incorporates by reference the press release dated September 2, 2008, attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1, and made a part of this Item 8.01.
