Item 8.01 Other Events

On September 2, 2008, LHC Group, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing two separate acquisitions, both effective September 1, 2008.

LHC Group has acquired 100% of the assets of Mountaineer Home Health located in Charleston, West Virginia and acquired 100% of the home health assets of the Jackson County Board of Health located in Ripley, West Virginia.

The Company also sees no material impact from Hurricane Gustav to headquarters or operations.
