(b) On January 17, 2008, Rana Talwar notified the Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Schlumberger Limited (the "Company") of his decision not to stand
for re-election to the Board of Directors at the Company's Annual Meeting of
Shareholders in 2008, due to job-related commitments. Mr. Talwar will continue
to serve as a director of the Company until the 2008 Annual Meeting of
Shareholders, which is currently expected to be held in April of 2008.
