Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.
Capital One announced today that it expects to take a charge of approximately
$80 million in the fourth quarter of 2007 in connection with the settlement of
the American Express litigation that was described in the Company's Form 10-Q/A
filed on November 9, 2007.
