Yahoo! Finance Charts User Guide

Printing & Emailing Charts

Watch the video tutorial

After having conducted your analysis on ExxonMobil using your Yahoo! Finance Charts, you decide you would like to save a copy of your work for further reference in your investing. You have two options at this point: you can print a hard copy of the chart, or you can email yourself a soft copy of the chart.

The PRINT function on your Yahoo! Finance Charts formats your current chart into a printable format and allows you to create a hard copy of the chart for future reference. To print a chart, click on the PRINT button at the top of the chart. This will launch a new window with a printer-friendly version of your chart. At the bottom of this window, you will see a PRINT link. Click here, and send the chart to your printer.

The EMAIL function allows you to send a soft copy of the chart to yourself for future reference or to a friend who may be interested in your analysis. To email a chart, click on the EMAIL button at the top of the chart. This will launch a new window with an email template that you can customize and send to yourself or a friend. Your or your friend will then be able to access the chart you have created by clicking on the Yahoo! Finance Charts link within the body of the email message.

Once you have printed or emailed your chart and are ready to start over with a new analysis, you can click on the RESET button at the top of the chart and clear all of the modifications and additions you have made to your current chart. Clicking RESET will restore all of the Yahoo! Finance Chart defaults—a line chart with no indicators and a one-year time frame.
