Arian Silver Private Placement to Raise up to CDN $2 Million LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Oct. 6, 2008) - Arian Silver Corporation (the "Company")(TSX VENTURE:AGQ - News; AIM:AGQ)(PLUS:AGQ)(FRANKFURT:I3A - News) announces that it proposes to raise up to Cdn$2,000,000 by way of a non-brokered private placement of up to 20,000,000 common shares of the Company at Cdn$0.10 per common share. The placement is conditional upon receipt of TSX Venture Exchange approval. The Company has received indications from potential subscribers that, if fulfilled, will satisfy the placement. The proceeds of the placement will be used to fund work programmes on the Company's projects in Mexico as well as for general corporate purposes.
