It operates in four segments: Terminalling and Storage, Natural Gas Services, Marine Transportation, and Sulfur Services. The Terminalling and Storage segment provides storage and handling services for producers and suppliers of petroleum products and by-products, lubricants, and other liquids. This segment also provides land rental to oil and gas companies along with storage and handling services for lubricants and fuel oil. As of December 31, 2007, it had 17 marine terminal facilities and 6 inland terminal facilities. The Natural Gas Services segment engages in gathering, processing, and distributing natural gas liquids (NGL). This segment had ownership interests in 658 miles of gathering and transmission pipelines, as well as a 250 MMcfd capacity natural gas processing plant. It owns an NGL pipeline, which spans approximately 200 miles running from Kilgore to Beaumont, Texas; and three NGL supply and storage facilities, as well as leases approximately 2.2 million barrels of underground storage capacity for NGLs. The Marine Transportation segment transports petroleum products and by-products. It owned a fleet of 37 inland marine tank barges, 18 inland push boats, and 4 offshore tug barge units. The Sulfur Services segment processes and distributes sulfur produced by oil refineries. It processes molten sulfur into prilled or pelletized. This segment owned and operated six sulfur-based fertilizer production plants and one emulsified sulfur blending plant that manufacture primarily sulfur-based fertilizer products for wholesale distributors and industrial users.
