The Design Solutions segment offers AutoCAD software, a computer aided design (CAD) application for 2D drafting, detailing, and functional design documentation; AutoCAD LT software for 2D drafting and detailing by design professionals; and Autodesk Buzzsaw that allows users to store, manage, and share project information. It also offers Autodesk Inventor software, which provides 3D assembly-centric solid modeling system and 2D drawing production system; Autodesk Revit products that collect and coordinate building project information; Autodesk Architectural Desktop software, which supports existing 2D design practices; and AutoCAD Mechanical software that provides 2D mechanical design and engineering tools for automating design tasks. In addition, this segment provides Autodesk Civil 3D software to design, draft, and manage various civil engineering project types; Autodesk Land Desktop, a software that creates parcel and land plans from data sets for civil engineers, designers, surveyors, and draftors; and Autodesk Map 3D software, which offers practical mapping functionality to engineers and geospatial professionals to integrate CAD and geographic information system data. The Media and Entertainment segment offers Autodesk Maya software and Autodesk 3ds Max software, which provides 3D modeling, animation, effects, and rendering solutions to create lifelike digital images, realistic animations, and visual effects, and to communicate abstract or complex mechanical, architectural, engineering, and construction concepts; and Autodesk Smoke and Autodesk Fire systems that enable editors to edit, conform, and finish television commercials, broadcast programming, film trailers, and feature films.
