The Medical Services division offers various wound and skin care products, which are used in a range of acute and chronic wounds, for skin conditions and incontinence care, as well as provides manufacturing services to customers in medical products markets. These products are primarily sold through sole source distributors, and marketed to hospitals, nursing homes, alternative care facilities, cancer centers, home healthcare providers, and managed care organizations. It also involves in developing the SaliCept line of products, which includes an oral rinse, and patches for oral wounds and extraction sites. The Consumer Services division markets and licenses bulk raw materials, specialty manufacturing services, and finished consumer products in the health and beauty care products markets, as well as provides product development and manufacturing services to customers in the cosmetic and nutraceutical markets. In addition, Carrington Laboratories, through its subsidiary, DelSite Biotechnologies, Inc., engages in the research, development, and marketing of its proprietary GelSite technology for controlled release and delivery of bioactive pharmaceutical ingredients.
