(NYSE:ESE) ESCO Technologies, Inc. produces engineered products and systems worldwide. Its Communications segment manufactures two-way power line communication systems, including meter modules and equipment for central stations and substations, as well as offers software and support services to the electric utility industry. It also provides wireless radio frequency (RF) data communications systems to the gas and water utilities for automatic meter reading applications. In addition, this segment manufactures video security monitoring systems for commercial and industrial applications. The company’s Filtration segment supplies filter elements, assemblies, modules, indicators, and other related components to the commercial aerospace, military aerospace, and various industrial markets. It also offers flow control products, valves, and filters to the space, defense, and commercial industries, as well as produces highly engineered thermal-formed and security packaging products for medical, food, and electronics products. Its Test segment offers isolated environments, including RF test enclosures, acoustic test enclosures, RF and magnetically shielded rooms, secure communication facilities, and broadcast and recording studios. In addition, it provides design, program management, installation, and integration services; and components, including RF absorptive materials, RF filters, active compensation systems, antennas, antenna masts, turntables and electric and magnetic probes, RF test cells, proprietary measurement software, and other test accessories. Further, this segment offers various services, including calibration for antennas and field probes, chamber certification, field surveys, customer training, and various product tests. The company was founded in 1990. It was formerly known as ESCO Electronics Corporation and changed its name to ESCO Technologies, Inc. in 2000.
