About Kite Realty Group Trust (NYSE:KRG)
Kite Realty Group Trust, a real estate investment trust (REIT), engages in the acquisition, development, expansion, construction, ownership, leasing, operation, and management of neighborhood and community shopping centers, and commercial real estate properties in the United States. It also provides real estate facility management, construction, development, and other advisory services to third parties. As of December 31, 2007, the company owned interests in 55 operating retail properties consisting of 50 retail properties, 4 commercial properties, and 1 associated parking garage, as well as had 11 properties under development or redevelopment. Kite Realty Group qualifies as a REIT under the Internal Revenue Code. As a REIT, the company would not be subject to federal tax to the extent that it distributes at least 90% of its taxable income to its shareholders. Kite Realty Group was founded in 1968 and is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
