(NasdaqCM:LIME) Lime Energy Co., through its subsidiaries, provides energy services and technologies. The company operates in two segments, Energy Services and Energy Technology. The Energy Services segment designs, engineers, markets, and installs energy efficient lighting upgrades for commercial and industrial users. Its energy engineering services include building energy audits; energy management planning; engineering design review to optimize energy efficiency and energy rebates; project management of energy related construction or upgrade projects; heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) and boiler system optimization; and incentive and rebate application processing, and procurement. The Energy Technology segment sells HVAC controllers to commercial and industrial users under the eMAC brand name. Its HVAC controllers provide remote monitoring and control, and reduce the energy consumed by commercial rooftop HVAC units. Its controllers provide control and continuous monitoring of HVAC and lighting equipment through wireless communication technology to reduce energy usage and improve system reliability. The company was founded as Electric City LLC in 1997 and changed its name to Lime Energy Co. in 2006. Lime Energy Co. is headquartered in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
