It operates primarily in nine basins and the overthrust belt, including the Piceance located in northwestern Colorado; the Wind River located in central Wyoming; the Uinta located in northeastern Utah; the Powder River located in northeastern Wyoming; the Williston located in western North Dakota, northwestern South Dakota, and eastern Montana; the Green River; the Denver-Julesburg, which extends into Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska; the Paradox located in southwestern Colorado and southeastern Utah; the Big Horn located in north central Wyoming; and the Montana overthrust belt, which runs from southern Utah through the Canadian Rockies. As of December 31, 2006, the company had estimated proved oil and gas reserves of 428.4 billion cubic feet equivalent, including 377.7 billion cubic feet of natural gas and 8.5 million barrels of crude oil or other liquid hydrocarbons. It also had working interests in 998 gross producing gas wells and 149 gross producing oil wells. The company was founded in 2002 and is based in Denver, Colorado.
