The EDT segment engages in the development and manufacture of drug optimization technologies. It also offers a range of services, which include formulation development, clinical trial management, analytical development, clinical trial material manufacturing, scale-up, product registration support, and supply chain management for client products. Elan Corporation sells its products primarily to drug wholesalers worldwide. It has a development agreement with Circ Pharma Limited to develop a chronotherapeutic formulation of Tramadol for the treatment of severe pain.
