| W-H Energy Services, Inc., an oilfield service company, together with its subsidiaries, provides products and services for the drilling and completion of oil and natural gas wells, and the production of oil and natural gas in North America and international areas. The company operates through two segments, Drilling Related Products and Services, and Completion and Workover Related Products and Services. The Drilling Related Products and Services segment provides products and services, including logging-while-drilling, measurement-while-drilling, directional drilling, and down-hole drilling motors; drilling fluids, and drilling fluid chemicals and additives; and rental tools, such as drill pipe, pressure control equipment, down-hole tools, pipe handling equipment, side entry subs, lockdown lubricator systems, and drilling jars. Its drilling related products and services are used onshore in Brazil, Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East; and offshore in the North Sea, the Gulf of Suez, the Mediterranean Sea, and off the coast of Brazil. The Completion and Workover Related Products and Services segment provides products and services, including cased-hole wireline logging, perforating, tubing conveyed perforating, and rental equipment; coiled tubing; completion fluids; and rental tools, such as tubing work strings, blowout preventers, flow iron packages, manifolds, tanks, tubing handling tools, and snubbing equipment.
