Its products are used for the treatment of ischemia associated with cardiovascular disease through transmyocardial revascularization (TMR) and percutaneous myocardial channeling (PMC) procedures. The companys TMR system consists of a holmium laser console, and a line of fiber-optic and laser-based surgical tools, which utilizes an optical fiber assembly to deliver laser energy from the source laser base unit to the distal tip of the surgical handpiece. Cardiogenesis PMC system comprises the holmium laser base unit, which generates 2.1 micron wavelength laser light in the mid-infrared spectrum to provide source for laser energy; and Axcis catheter system, an over-the-wire system that consists of Axcis laser catheter and Axcis aligning catheter, to provide controlled navigation and access to target regions of the left ventricle. Its products also include Port Enabled Angina Relief using Laser procedure, which is a therapeutic technique for the treatment of chronic severe angina; and Phoenix Combination Delivery System, which combines the delivery of its Holmium: YAG TMR therapy with targeted and precise delivery of biologic or pharmacologic agents to optimize the physiologic and clinical response. The company sells its products primarily to hospitals and other healthcare providers through a direct sales and support organization, as well as through distributors and agents in North America, Europe, and Asia.
