This segment serves optical communications, laser, and photovoltaic markets. The company’s Advanced Optical Technologies segment offers multilayer product security technologies for protection against diversion, brand erosion, and lost revenue due to counterfeiting; and optical thin-film coatings for various applications in night-vision goggles, satellite solar covers, medical instrumentation, optical communications components, fax machines, computer-driven projectors, and event lighting for government and aerospace, biomedical, telecommunications, office automation, and other markets.
