The company develops, manufactures, and supplies cable telephony, video, and high-speed data products. It operates through three segments: Broadband Communications Systems (BCS); Access, Transport, and Supplies (ATS); and Media and Communications Systems (MCS). The BCS segment offers voice over Internet protocol and high speed data products, including cable modem termination system; residential embedded multimedia terminal adapter (EMTA); multi line EMTA for residential and commercial services; wireless gateway EMTA; high speed data cable modems; video/Interznet protocol headend products; and universal edge quadrature amplitude modulator. The ATS segment provides hybrid fiber-coaxial plant equipment products comprising headend and hub products, optical nodes, radio frequency products, and transport products. This segment also offers infrastructure products for fiber optic or coaxial networks, including cable and strand, vaults, conduit, drop materials, tools, connectors, and test equipment. The MCS segment provides content and operations management systems, including products for video on demand, ad insertion, and digital advertising; operations management systems comprising products for service assurance, service fulfillment, and mobile workforce management; fixed mobile convergence network products consisting of mobility application servers for the continuity of services across wireless and packet cable networks, and voice call continuity application server for the continuity of services in Internet protocol multimedia subsystem networks. ARRIS Group markets its products primarily to cable system operators and multiple system operators. The company was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Suwanee, Georgia.
