As of December 31, 2008, the company had leasehold and other interests in 77 offshore blocks, 41 platforms, and 129 wells, including 22 subsea wells in the Gulf of Mexico; and interests in 10 blocks and 3 company-operated subsea wells in the North Sea. It had estimated net proved reserves of 713.6 billion cubic feet equivalent, of which approximately 449.6 billion cubic feet equivalent were in the Gulf of Mexico and 264.0 billion cubic feet equivalent were in the North Sea. These reserves were comprised 321.7 billion cubic feet of natural gas and 65.3 million barrels of crude oil. The company was founded in 1991 and is based in Houston, Texas.
