In addition, SMIC provides various services, including libraries and circuit design blocks, design support, mask-making, wafer probing, gold/solder bumping, redistribution layer manufacturing, assembly, and testing. The company’s semiconductors are used in computing, communications, consumer, and industrial applications, such as computers, mobile telephones, digital televisions, digital cameras, DVD players, and entertainment devices, as well as in consumer electronics devices, and automotive and industrial applications. It serves integrated device manufacturers, fabless semiconductor companies, and systems companies. The company has a strategic partnership agreement with Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. to manufacture color filters and micro-lenses for complementary metal oxide silicon image sensors; and strategic cooperation agreement with Datang Telecom Technology & Industry Holdings Co., Ltd. SMIC sells its products and services in the United States, Europe, Taiwan, Japan, and the Asia Pacific.
