(AMEX:XPO) Express-1 Expedited Solutions, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides transportation and logistics services in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It operates in four segments: Express-1, Express-1 Dedicated, Concert Group Logistics, and Bounce Logistics. The Express-1 segment provides expedited transportation services, including expedited surface transportation and aircraft charter services primarily by using transportation equipment provided by third parties. It operates cargo vans, straight trucks, and tractor-trailers, as well as offers various services, including electronic alerts, shipment tracking, proof of delivery, notifications, billing status, and customized performance reports. The Express-1 Dedicated segment provides dedicated delivery services to automotive dealerships. This segment receives, sorts, and stages automotive freight from distribution facilities, as well as dispatches freight over dedicated routes and manages a stringent on-time delivery schedule through company leased and company owned vehicles. The Concert Group Logistics segment offers domestic and international freight forwarding services through independently owned stations. Its domestic freight forwarding services include air charter and expedite services, time sensitive services, and deferred delivery and full loads; and international freight forwarding services comprise on-board courier and air charters, direct transit and consolidation, and full-container-loads and vessel charters. This segment also provides documentation on international loads, customs clearance and banking support services, trade show shipment management, transportation partnerships, diversity programs, and on-site asset retrieval services. The Bounce Logistics segment offers full-truckload freight brokerage services. The company was founded in 1996. It was formerly known as Segmentz, Inc. and changed its name to Express-1 Expedited Solutions, Inc. in 2006. The company is headquartered in Buchanan, Michigan.
