(NasdaqGS:SHFL) Shuffle Master, Inc., a gaming supply company, engages in the development, manufacture, and marketing of technology and entertainment-based products for the gaming industry. It operates in four segments: Utility Products, Proprietary Table Games, Electronic Table Systems, and Electronic Gaming Machines. The Utility Products segment offers automatic card shufflers, including single deck, batch, and continuous shufflers used in card table games. These products include i-Deal, ACE, Deck Mate, King, one2six, and MD1. This segment also offers chip sorting machines used on roulette tables; and develops other products, including intelligent table systems components, Table iD, that automatically gathers data to enable casinos to track table game play. The Proprietary Table Games segment provides live table games comprising poker, blackjack, baccarat, and pai gow poker-based table games, progressive table games with bonusing options, and side bets. This segment also offers proprietary table game licensing for other gaming media, such as legal Internet gaming licenses. The Electronic Table Systems segment provides e-Table platforms, such as Table Master, Vegas star, Rapid Table Games, and wireless Casino On Demand. The Electronic Gaming Machines segment offers PC-based video slot machines with a selection of video slot titles, which include a range of bonus round options. The company also leases and licenses its products. It markets its products to casinos and other legal gaming establishments through its direct sales force and distributors worldwide. As of October 31, 2007, the company installed unit/seat base of approximately 25,000 shufflers; 5,000 live proprietary table games; 6,000 electronic table systems seats; and 19,000 electronic gaming machine seats.
