The companys wireline telecommunication services consist of local and long-distance voice service, broadband services, network access, and video services. As of December 31, 2009, the company served approximately 7.2 million customers, including 6.1 million wireless customers and 1.1 million wireline equivalent access lines. In addition, it provides printing and distribution services. Telephone and Data Systems sells its products through retail sales and service centers, and independent agents and direct sales, as well as through the Internet and telesales.
