| Harsco Corporation provides industrial services and engineered products worldwide. The company operates in two segments, Harsco Infrastructure and Harsco Metals. The Harsco Infrastructure segment engages in the rental and sale of scaffolding, shoring, and concrete forming systems for industrial maintenance and capital improvement projects, non-residential construction, and international multi-dwelling residential construction projects, as well as provides various services, including project engineering and equipment installation. This segment provides its services to industrial and petrochemical plants; the infrastructure construction, repair, and maintenance markets; commercial and industrial construction contractors; and public utilities. The Harsco Metals segment offers on-site and outsourced services, including slag processing, semi-finished inventory management, material handling, scrap management, and in-plant transportation to steel mills and other metal producers, such as aluminum and copper. The company also provides railway track maintenance equipment and services; minerals and recycling technologies; granules for asphalt roofing shingles and abrasives for industrial surface preparation; industrial grating; air-cooled heat exchangers; and boilers, water heaters, and process equipment, including industrial blenders, dryers, and mixers. Its customers include private and government-owned railroads and urban mass transit systems; steel mills; industrial plants and the non-residential, commercial and public construction and retrofit markets; the natural gas exploration and processing industry; asphalt roofing manufacturers; and the chemical, food processing, and pharmaceutical industries.
