The company’s customers include hospitals, surgi-centers, imaging centers, alternate site facilities, drug manufacturers, and retailers. Covidien plc was formerly known as Covidien, Ltd. and changed its name to Covidien plc in June 2009. The company was founded in 1960 and is based in Dublin, Ireland.
