This segment also provides finishing services for the metal and plastic components; and designs, builds, and installs windows, curtain wall, storefront, and entrances using coated glass and metal products. Its products include aluminum framing systems. This segment markets its products through direct sales, distributors, and independent representatives to general contractors, building owners, architects, and glazing subcontractors in the nonresidential commercial construction market primarily in North America. The Large-Scale Optical Technologies segment manufactures glass and acrylic products for the custom picture framing market, and produces optical thin coatings for consumer electronic displays. This segment distributes its products through mass merchandisers and independent distributors primarily to original equipment manufacturers in North America; directly to museums, and public and private galleries; and through independent distributors in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
