It offers antibiotic products including ALBAC, BMD, CHLORMAX and CHLORMAX-combination products, and AUREOMYCIN and AUREOMYCIN-combination products; anticoccidial comprising BIO-COX and CYGRO, BOVATEC and AVATEC, DECCOX, ROBENZ and CYCOSTAT, and ROFENAID; and antibacterial, including 3-NITRO and HISTOSTAT. The company also sells water soluble vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes that are used as nutritional supplements. The company was founded in 1975. It was formerly known as A.L. Laboratories, Inc. and changed its name to Alpharma, Inc. in 1994. Alpharma is headquartered in Bridgewater, New Jersey. |
