The company also sells new and used equipment and parts, as well as provides maintenance and repair services for the customers’ owned equipment. In addition, H&E Equipment Services provides ancillary equipment support activities, including transportation, hauling, parts shipping, and loss damage waivers. Its customers include industrial and commercial companies, construction contractors, manufacturers, public utilities, municipalities, maintenance contractors, and other industrial accounts. As of March 3, 2008, H&E Equipment Services served approximately 31,200 customers through 63 full-service facilities across 21 states in the West Coast, Intermountain, Southwest, Gulf Coast, Southeast, and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. The company was founded in 1961. It was formerly known as H&E Equipment Services L.L.C. and changed its name to H&E Equipment Services, Inc. in 2006.
