The company’s home audio products include speakers, a center channel speakers, and powered subwoofers; tower speakers; on-wall and stand-alone extruded aluminum speakers; in-wall, in-ceiling, and outdoor speakers; and component satellite tuners. It provides mobile audio products, including power amplifiers, aftermarket speakers, and subwoofers, as well as accessories, such as power capacitors, distribution blocks, audio interconnects, and amplifier wiring kits; and SIRIUS accessories, including portable, boomboxes, desktop, sound system, and installation kits to support SIRIUS receivers. The company also markets various mobile video systems and accessories, including flip-down video displays; aftermarket headrests; liquid crystal display screens; and DVD players, as well as wireless headphones, control modules, trim rings, and antennas. Directed Electronics, through its strategic partnership with SIRIUS, offers SIRIUS-branded products, including portable receivers, docking stations, satellite radio reception units, down link processors, and various accessories, such as signal combiners, distribution systems, antennas, and related items. It sells through specialty retailers, retail electronics chains, mass merchants, automotive parts retailers, and car dealers, as well as internationally through independent distributors. The company was formerly known as DEI Holdings, Inc. and changed its name to Directed Electronics, Inc. in 2005. Directed Electronics was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Vista, California.
