The company markets natural gas, crude oil, condensate, and oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs), as well as owns and operates natural gas gathering, treating, and processing systems. As of December 31, 2008, it had proved reserves of approximately 8.1 trillion cubic feet of natural gas; and 0.9 billion barrels of crude oil, condensate, and NGLs. The company also engages in the hard minerals business through non-operated joint ventures and royalty arrangements in various coal, trona, and industrial mineral mines located on lands within and adjacent to its Land Grant holdings. In addition, it purchases natural gas, crude oil, condensate, and NGL volumes for resale. Anadarko Petroleum Corporation also has operations in China, Brazil, Ghana, and Indonesia.
